SEND Offer

Definition of SEND : Special educational provision is educational or training provision that is additional to or different from that made generally for others of the same age.

St.George’s has a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) who is responsible for the management of provision and or support for identified pupils with SEND. They will also support teachers and other staff to enable them to provide appropriate assessment and focused provision for children in their class with SEND.

Our School Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) is Mrs Truss and she can be contacted by visiting the school office or calling on 023 9282 2886

SEND Complaints

Arrangements for handling complaints from parents of children with SEN about the school’s support are within the scope of the school’s complaints procedure. Where parents have specific complaints about the Education Health and Care (EHC) plan procedures, or about the content of their child’s EHC plan, they should be referred to the LA. This is in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice.
