Remote & Home Learning

Children in Key Stage 1 and 2 are expected to read at home daily and have their Reading Record signed by an adult. Children will be sent home with a reading book of an appropriate phonics or reading level and will have the opportunity to change this regularly.

In Key Stage 1 additional tasks may be set based on learning in the classroom. In Key Stage 2 homework is set once a week for English and maths linked to class learning. Spelling strategies may be sent home in addition to this work. Further pieces of science work and topic projects are also set in Year 5 and 6. All children in Key Stage 2 have home access to Education City and Timestables.co.uk where they can undertake further learning and activities. If you are looking for more learning opportunities for your child out of school why not check out National Geographic Kids or Kids News.

Key Stage 2 children are currently being encouraged and shown how to access and submit homework via Google Classroom.
